Cross stitch ornament for next Christmas...

Well here is my picture.. of my Christmas cross stitch ornament. I just finished it today and it was fun to do!! It felt nice to get it finished today, after some time of working on it. My life is busy and since things have been challenging lately I have had little time to finish my craft projects.

I did go to my local tatting group on Wednesday, we had a great time and I worked on my square doily!!! I hope to get it done at some point this year. Ah that bag of time I have been looking for is never where I can find it!!

long time.....

Well I am posting to my new blogger site as it got updated! It seems about the same and it is pretty user friendly. Well life has been busy as I mentioned in December of 2006. I have not completed anymore tatting and did finish a cross stitch ornament for next Christmas. I will post the picture once it is complete.. I still have some work to do!

Tatting Exchange...

Well it has been a busy fall here for us! Time went quickly and life just happened as it does. I did not find much time for tatting and I have found that I will always love it, and I will tat when I have time too. I did exchange gifts with a fellow tatter in Chile for Christmas, Meme and she send a cute card and package..I have uploaded the photos of her package....see below! I just loved the card and the shuttle is very nice, I am actually planning on painting it this weekend! How fun that will be. I do love to be creative and enjoy many different crafts. Thanks Meme for the great package!! I love all of the items and plan to use them soon, I hope!




















I am planning on tatting some this weekend and Monday, as I off from work, yeah! I do love my job and I know I make a big difference in my staff and patient's lives, it is just nice to have some time for Tanya! I will be baking some cookies and finishing my Christmas shopping and wrapping.. and speak of wrapping..I need to wrap my husband's presents soon as he is working today. Christmas is a great time of year and I do love the time with family and friends! I hope that everyone on the tatting lists is having a wonderful Holiday Season as I know we are!!!

More tatting shuttles and some tatting

Well I have been antiquing the last few weekends and I have found a few tatting shuttles, nothing spectaular through. I enjoy looking for tatting shuttles and finding what is available either through Ebay or stores. So, below is the pictures of the tatting shuttles.Also I have been tatting as mentioned in the last post. I finished a pumpkin pattern that I found online at MSN groups. The designer is Sherry Matthews. I added some beads to it and changed a few things...see below! I also have been tatting a square doily and I have 2 rounds almost done, yeah! So I must focus my energy on that and the November exchange too. I need to make the tatted cards for my partner, Tina. That is all for now, I enjoy this time of year as I get ready for winter and enjoy fall. I get to have more time inside to work on my hobbies and crafts, which is great!!!

Updates..

Well it is October already! Wow, I am working on tatting a square doily, the first of this type for me. I have not made a square doily before and it is challenging and fun! I am also signed up for a few online tatting exchanges for the next two months; I really enjoy doing them. It is always fun share tatting and meet other tatters!! Otherwise life is busy as usual and not much new here. I am moving along in my new job as manager and find it challenging.

I hope to take some pictures soon of my doily which is coming along well and post here. I have just not done it yet! Happy tatting to all!!

New Tatting Shuttles

Well I have purchased 2 new tatting shuttles for my collection! They were purchased online at Ebay. I just love them both!! Of course looking at Ebay is always fun and I wish I could buy all of the shuttles that are listed. Anyway here are the shuttles..













I hope you enjoy seeing my eye candy!! I am working on a tatting project currently..if you can believe it!! I am not as busy now, so I started a tatted doily last Sunday. It is from an old pattern book I have. I worked on it at Tatting Group this past Thursday night. I hope to have it done in the next few weeks.. will see.
Not much going on here. Life is well for us.

More tatting Pics...

Well today is a day of reflection..our country lost many wonderful people, a few great buildings, and any sense of security we had when this day occurred. I feel very saddened for those families that lost loved ones on this day five years ago!! I wore a tatted heart to work today in memory of those people that lost their lives and I took a small angel pin (which my grandmother gave me) in my pocket.I prayed this morning before I left my home at 0545 that no evil would occur today and that the world would be peaceful and BE FREE of terror! When I got home, I realized how quiet and peaceful the world really was today and I light a candle for all the fallen hero's on 9/11. May you rest in peace and you will never be FORGOTEEN for your SACRAFICE!! God bless all today!!
On to tatting now..well I have been tatting some these past few weeks. It has been a busy time though.I am going to upload a picture of my butterflies and flowers I finished a few weeks ago and mounted on felt. See the picture below. I am also uploading a picture of an M&M container that I decorated. I recieved this M&M container in an exchange a few months ago and I decided to decorate it. It was fun. I used some thread I recieved in a thread exchange this year to decorate the container. Well that is all for now!
